Items may be renewed one time only if they are not on a reserve list or more than four weeks overdue, excluding DVD. If renewing by telephone, be prepared to read DUE DATE, AUTHOR, TITLE, and BARCODE NUMBER of the item to be renewed to the circulation clerk.
Patrons may renew online at http://www.owenlib.org using the link to our online catalog (IBistro), their library card number and assigned pin. To receive your pin # or to renew your checkouts over the phone call the main circulation desk. 829-3392 Ext# 1
You may also use our online catalog to view what items you have checked out and when they are due. Using your library card number and your assigned pin number.
Borrowing Policy
Adults (14 or older) with a valid OCPL identification may borrow up to fifty books, audiocassettes or periodicals for six weeks. Adults may check out three DVDs from each floor for seven days. There is a maximum limit of borrowed items of fifty.
Patrons must present a library card at check out. Lost card replacement is $1.00. Card expiration takes place two years from the issue date. Please inquire about renewal at the circulation desk. Please inform the circulation desk of any name, address or telephone number change.
Children who are age six (or in kindergarten) through 13 may have a library number of their own with parental/guardian permission. There is a ten book loan limit for children. A parent may check out a total of fifty items. This may include books, three videos and three DVD’s from Youth Services for his/her child using their own, adult library card. Youth patrons are not charged late fees.
